Hope of Glory Ministries desires to fill the need in Tucson for a Homeless Day Center. Several organizations & agencies have some day provision for the homeless available, but a year-round center is acknowledged by the city and others as a much needed facility in a community of this size. We will always have the chronically homeless (829 counted in Jan.) on our streets who would greatly benefit by a place to  rest, take a shower, get a change of clothing & hygiene items, and a nourishing meal as well as food to go.  Men and women in shelters must leave during the day and have few places to go—particularly to get out of the heat or other elements. This would also serve as a site for newly homeless to get direction to services.
This “hub” will allow case managers and outreach workers a place to meet with their clients, as well as ministers to counsel and study the Bible with their sheep. We plan to provide a supervised storage room where homeless can safely keep their stuff, and a prayer room for anyone seeking an audience with the King!
